Here is a group of photographs for some new boat covers we have recently constructed for our customers.

This first cover in blue is for a Sea Ray.  Note the “cutouts” in the cover to provide for the tower and the bimini top.  The cover also extends to provide protection for the rear swim platform.

This Gray cover for a Florida Flats boat also features accommodation for the bimini and for the platform in the rear of the boat.

Finally, here is a “Full Coverage” cover on a Chaparrel that is designed to protect this boat when it is not in use for long periods of time.  Note the height of the cover, providing maximum protection without the addition of drop skirts on the cover.

Older Cobalt Runabout Gets Updated Upholstery – December, 2012

Black Dog Designs, Inc. recently completed this reupholstery project for an older Cobalt runabout.

We kept the basic look on the interior and made some changes to the high traffic areas by eliminating some of the decorative stitching and making the areas more durable.

To give this old beauty an updated look, we made some changes to the original styling. Note in particular the accent color that was added to the seats and the trim on the side panels.

The additional trim really stands out in the bow area. The updated upholstery definitely brings new life to this great boat.

Covers For Outdoor Furniture – December, 2012

New snugly-fitting covers to protect your outdoor furniture.

Black Dog Design, Inc., recently completed this project, creating covers to protect this outdoor furniture and to keep it clean.

The covers are fitted snugly so that they will not fly off in the wind. They are custom-fitted to each piece of furniture, and they have non-rusting, UV-resistant zippers in the back for easy opening.  The fabric is a breathable Sunbrella® canvas sewn with Tenara® thread, both of which feature resistance to UV sunlight, weather, etc. and are ideal for this application.

 

Beautiful Beneteau Sailboat Gets A New Bimini and Dodger

Here’s a photo of a new bimini top and dodger Black Dog Design, Inc., recently completed.

Mike designed and fabricated the frame, and the fabrics were then patterned to work with the new frame.

The fabric for the bimini is “Stamoid”, a vinyl-coated woven polyester that is waterproof, easily cleanable, cool to sit under, and that folds and stores well;  it is perfect for this application.

The clear vinyl windows for the dodger are “Strataglass”, that is “the staple of virtually every quality canvas manufacturer.”  Among its many good properties for this application, it also blocks UV light.

Year-round Enjoyment of Screened Porch

Our customer wanted year-round use of their screened porch and to add come color to their home. We accomplished this by framing the windows with red enclosure panels that can be rolled up when the weather is good or closed when heating or cooling is desired. The red panels add a bright touch to their porch.

We were able to make this wall look continuous by connecting the various panels to give a nice clean line.

The panels are fastened on each end to the structure, giving the enclosure protection from wind and rain.

 

A New Cover for a Larson Ski Boat

This Larson ski boat cover snaps down tightly to protect the boat’s interior when it is not in use, and the cover will stay in place when the boat is on its trailer at highway speeds.

There are many colors to choose among to match your boat.
