Boat Covers for Party Barges and Deck Boats

Covers for party barges and deckboats may range from full covers, with supports, covering the entire interior of the boat, to individual covers for seating, console, etc.  Both full and individual covers have advantages and disadvantages in terms of simplicity and protection.

Whatever your preference, Black Dog Design, Inc. can manufacture covers to meet your specific requirements.  Give us a call!

A Special Barge Set Up For Winter Fun

This was a special order barge from Veranda Boat Company whose customer wanted to be able to use the boat in all seasons.  Veranda came to Black Dog Design to provide this special enclosure.

The clear enclosure with replaceable screen panels allow the owners of this party barge to enjoy it all year!

The clear panels zip onto the bimini top and zip to each other.

We also ended up making screen panels that could be changed out with the clear. These were ordered after the boat was shipped to Louisiana. The customer shipped the clear panels back to Black Dog Design, and they were used for a pattern to make the screen enclosure panels.

Screened panels can replace the clear windows in the enclosure for bug-free breezes in the summertime.

The wonderful thing about clear enclosures is how easily they heat up with very little sun in cold weather. The great thing about screen or scrim panels is that there is airflow through the boat, but bugs cannot get in. The scrim also has a sun protection factor and is a good choice for people who have sun issues yet still need to be out on the water with nature.

A New Concept In Party Barge Covers

This is a new concept in party barge covers. The cover actually ratchets under the bottom rail of the boat and covers the entire body as well as the motor.

This cover features ratchets instead of snaps to quickly and easily secure the cover over the entire barge's body.

This particular customer asked for an extra zip-on section in the back to protect the pontoon area as well.

The extra zip-on section also protects the pontoons on this barge.

This cover is very easy to use for those who want full protection and hate snaps.

A Camper Enclosure for a Party Barge

This is an interesting concept.  Convert a party barge into a camper!

The camper enclosure features large, screened windows that can be shut to keep out the rain or keep in the warmth if necessary.

This customer just wanted something he could put up to sleep on out on the lake. No clear windows. Just screen and privacy.

The result is a nice, large camper that can be stowed for fun during the day.

These covers transform the barge into a nice on-the-lake camper. The covers are easy to put up for sleeping and privacy at night, and are equally easy to take down and stow to play during the day.

There is also a cover for the motor to protect it when the boat is not in use.
